That doesn't really mean that these are the fastest courses, especially where the record holders are Olympians (Andrew Baddeley and Jonathan Brownlee), but they might just be anyway. At the very least, they are all very impressive times:
Event | Athlete | Time |
Bushy Park | Andrew BADDELEY | 13:48:00 |
Brighton & Hove | Benjamin Michael TICKNER | 14:30:00 |
Edinburgh | Ross TOOLE | 14:31:00 |
Newcastle | Ian HUDSPITH | 14:36:00 |
Cardiff | Michael E JOHNSON | 14:40:00 |
Ginninderra | Martin DENT | 14:42:00 |
Riverside | Yared HAGOS | 14:43:00 |
York | Jonathan BROWNLEE | 14:43:00 |
Hull | Ian KIMPTON | 14:46:00 |
Poole | Richard HORTON | 14:47:00 |
Very proud to have been able to bring parkrun to York, and to have an Olympian as our male record holder within our first year. We'll be celebrating our first birthday on 12 January with a run in the morning and a party in the evening. PS: we do have a very fast flat course - especially when there's no wind!

All reports say York is a fast flat one. And I guess it was almost a jog for a Brownlee, even for that amazing time!
DeleteJust nipped into 5th place on the all time league at Southend parkrun with 14:37 set by Adam Hickey. Mr Norman said we had a fast course, I think we just proved it!
